Estate and Downsizing Cleanouts
Clearing a parent's home or moving to something smaller is hard enough. We take care of the heavy part.
- Price before we lift
- Photo quotes
- We do the carrying
- No bin rental needed
How a whole-house cleanout works
- Walk through or send photos. Large cleanouts are easiest to price room by room. Photos of each room usually work; ask if you'd prefer an in-person look.
- Mark what stays. Tape, sticky notes or a short list. Anything marked is left alone.
- Keep, donate, dispose. Usable furniture and household goods can be set aside for donation on request. Metal and electronics are separated for recycling. The rest is disposed of properly.
- Leave it ready. Rooms are cleared and swept so the home is ready for cleaners, painters or a real estate listing.
Families who aren't local
Many estate cleanouts in this area are arranged by adult children living in the GTA or further away. You can book, send photos, approve the price and get updates by phone or text without driving up for the day.
Before you book
- Go through papers, photos and valuables first, or tell us which rooms to leave for later.
- Check with the executor or family about anything sentimental.
- If the home is being sold, ask your agent when it needs to be empty.
Frequently asked questions
Can the job be split over more than one visit?
Yes. Some families clear the house in stages as decisions get made.
What happens to items in good condition?
They can be set aside for donation on request, depending on condition and what local charities are accepting.
Do I need to be there?
Not necessarily. If someone can provide access and the price is confirmed beforehand, the work can be done while you're away.
