Country properties, bigger loads
Across Clearview Township, a lot of homes sit on larger lots with outbuildings, which means junk accumulates in sheds, barns and workshops as well as the house. Typical jobs here include old sheds and decking, scrap metal, broken lawn equipment, fencing, and furniture that's been in storage for years.
Scrap metal is accepted free at County of Simcoe drop-offs, so a load with plenty of metal that's sorted properly costs less to dispose of than mixed junk. If a structure needs to come down first, mention it on the form so it can be quoted properly.
The Nottawasaga depot and what it takes
The County's Nottawasaga Waste Drop-off and household hazardous waste depot is on County Road 64 near Stayner, open Monday to Saturday, 8:30 to 4:30. It's the place for paint, solvents and other hazardous items, which junk removal crews don't haul. Everything else (furniture, appliances, clutter, debris) we can take off your hands.
